Prepare your EV to sell
A little prep helps your EV sell faster and for a fairer price. Before you list:
- Know your battery health (SoH). Battery health is the first thing EV buyers ask about. Check your car's state-of-health (most EVs show it in the service menu or a diagnostic app) and add it to your listing. If you have a battery-health certificate, even better - it builds trust and helps your EV sell faster.
- Gather service and ownership history. Have your service records, NCT and the number of previous owners to hand. A clear history reassures buyers and supports your asking price.
- Take good photos. Clean the car and take clear, well-lit photos from several angles, inside and out, plus the charging port and the dashboard. Good photos are the single biggest driver of enquiries.
- Get the spec right. Pick the exact make, model and variant so your listing shows the correct battery, WLTP and real-world range. Accurate specs mean the right buyers find you.
