ShamAuto is Ireland's EV-only used-car marketplace. The idea is simple: buying a used electric car is really about the battery, yet most listings hide it. The big classifieds were built for petrol and diesel, and they treat EVs as an afterthought - no battery health, no real range, no way to compare like for like. We started ShamAuto to fix that.
Our mission
Help every Irish driver buy or sell an electric car with confidence. ShamAuto shows verified battery health (State-of-Health), a cautious real-world range (WLTP minus 17%) and full EV specs on every listing, so buyers can compare honestly and sellers can show off a good car.
Why EV-only
Because focus is the feature. Every visitor here is looking for an electric car, so sellers reach a high-intent audience and buyers never wade through petrol and diesel. It also lets us build for EVs properly: battery State-of-Health, range you can rely on and full charging detail as standard - not bolted on.
Independent
ShamAuto is independent. We are not owned by any dealer group or manufacturer, so the marketplace works for buyers and sellers first. Listing is free for everyone - private sellers and dealers alike - with no commission on a sale.
